A Combination Of Legal Experience In Providing Legal Services And Expertise To Clients

Our Response To COVID-19

It is important for all of us to act responsibly to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Sowald, Sowald, Anderson, Hawley & Johnson is committed to protecting the health of our clients and staff to the fullest extent possible, while continuing to provide the same quality of legal services for which we are known and that our clients expect. To further this goal, our office will remain fully operational and we are immediately adjusting our office operations during the current health crisis as follows:

  • Our office will be remaining operational during regular business hours to assist you.
  • Attorneys and staff will be working remotely, and all of us will be available by telephone at our regular office number and by email during regular business hours.  In accordance with recommended safe health practice, please expect all contact to be by telephone or email.
  • Arrangements will be made to go forward with settlement conferences, depositions, collaborative case meetings, and dissolution hearings if reasonably possible and safe.
  • We will continue to send documents and information by email, DropBox, or other electronic means and we can receive documents and information in the same manner.  If you need assistance with the electronic transmission of documents and information, please feel free to contact us and we will assist you.  We are also enhancing our office technology to enable us to conduct video calls and conferences with existing and new clients, the courts, and fellow attorneys.

Please be aware that most courts in the Central Ohio area have postponed all hearings in their courthouses, with the exception of urgent and time-sensitive matters.  Most currently-scheduled court hearings will be rescheduled to a future date or conducted by telephone.  Our staff will be contacting clients whose cases are affected and will be notifying you of the new hearing date or other arrangements.  If you currently have a court hearing scheduled and you have not been contacted by our staff at least 7 days prior to the scheduled date, please contact us to verify the status of you case.  If you have any questions or concerns about upcoming meetings, court hearings, or any other potential in-person interactions, please call or email us and we will be glad to assist you.

We are very aware of how important it is to all of our clients that your cases continue moving forward and we are dedicated to taking every effort to ensure that happens while safely meeting the challenges of the current crisis.  We are equally committed to assisting new clients needing to initiate, or defend against, a new case.
